HOLLAND IS THE TULIP CITY

In 1976, America celebrated it bicentennial. In Holland, Michigan, the tulips were in bloom and the annual festival was honored to host President Gerald R. Ford as its guest. Each year, Tulip City plants hundreds of thousands of flowers to celebrate the "Best Small Town Festival", an event that brings in over 1 million people.
