The Michigan Panthers played in the USFL as a charter member starting in 1982.  They won the league's first championship in Denver, Colorado in 1983.

On July 17, 1983, the Michigan Panthers captured the USFL's first championship with a win over the Philadelphia Stars. QB Bobby Hebert connected with Anthony Carter for a 48 yard touchdown in the 4th quarter, for a final score of 24-22. Super soft print on a tri-blend shirt. Designed in Michigan by The Mitten State.
